There has been much controversy about the Common Core curriculum and its hurried implementation in New York. Clearly, it has some good points — most importantly, clear and consistent standards that can be helpful in evaluating student learning.
The Spotted Zebra Learning Center is an early childhood learning center that integrates special-need learners with typical learners. Owner Sheri Townsend talks about the art of teaching to a variety of learning styles and the successes many of their children have had. Early Intervention and early learning are the keys to maximizing a person’s potential according to Townsend. The Learning Center helps parents help their children by bringing Special Education, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy services either on-site or in the natural setting of the child.
